Celle du <strong><em>Christ pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 au peuple<\/em><\/strong> (dont c\u2019est un des premiers \u00e9tats qui \u00e9tait affich\u00e9 dans la cuisine de mes parents) et celle des <strong><em>Trois croix<\/em>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>D&rsquo;abord, l\u2019inexorable et\u00a0 dramatique r\u00e9duction \u00e0 l\u2019essentiel que donnent \u00e0 voir les deux \u00e9tats du calvaire \u00e0 trois croix. pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 au peuple<\/em><\/strong> \u2013troisi\u00e8me et septi\u00e8me \u00e9tats, avec la disparition de toute l&rsquo;assembl\u00e9e devant l&rsquo;estrade, remplac\u00e9s par deux \u00e9galement d\u00e9couvrir (toujours dans l\u2019avant-derni\u00e8re salle) les versions plus tardives des <strong><em>P\u00e8lerins d&rsquo;Emma\u00fcs<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>La peinture de 1648 m&rsquo;a parue beaucoup moins int\u00e9ressante que celle de 1928, mais la gravure, plus tardive, est remarquable de luminosit\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Premi\u00e8re version, dont j\u2019admire le Christ un peu b\u00eata, me para\u00eet beaucoup plus conventionnelle, m\u00eame si les commentaires y insistaient sur la finesse de la psychologie (\u00ab\u00a0psychologie\u00a0\u00bb, est-ce gravure, presque toute ouverte \u00e0 la lumi\u00e8re, la figure du Xst, m\u2019a paru refl\u00e9ter la douceur et la s\u00e9r\u00e9nit\u00e9 que l\u2019on s\u2019attend (\u00e0 tort, \u00e0 raison, un peu facilement) \u00e0 d\u00e9couvrir dans l\u2019\u00e9volution de l\u2019\u0153uvre d\u2019un artiste.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a P\u00e8lerins, trouv\u00e9 ici\u00a0: <a href=\"http:\/\/artifexinopere.com\/?p=1244\">http:\/\/artifexinopere.com\/?p=1244<\/a>,\u00a0 me parait apporter quelques \u00e9l\u00e9ments \u00e9clairants.<\/p>\n<h3>Etonnement<\/h3>\n<p>J\u2019ai lu le mot \u00ab\u00a0\u00e9tonnement\u00a0\u00bb quelque part dans les panneaux de pr\u00e9sentation des \u0153uvres, que j&rsquo;ai en g\u00e9n\u00e9ral tendance \u00e0 n\u00e9gliger. Or, c\u2019est peut-\u00eatre bien\u00a0 un signifiant (?) dont il serait int\u00e9ressant de rep\u00e9rer la trace, le parcours chez Rembrandt. Cet \u00e9tonnement me para\u00eet toujours pr\u00e9sent dans la gravure des <em>P\u00e8lerins d\u2019Emma\u00fcs<\/em> de 1684. Par comparaison, on lira dans l\u2019\u0153uvre de jeunesse un certain effroi.<\/p>\n<p>Je pourrais reconna\u00eetre une forme de cet \u00e9tonnement \u00e9galement dans une peinture de la derni\u00e8re salle, dans le portrait de sa derni\u00e8re compagne, Hendrickje Stoffels. Dominique se demandait \u00e0 voix haute s\u2019il s\u2019agissait de tristesse, j\u2019y lisais quelque chose de l\u2019ordre d\u2019un <em>Che vuoi?<\/em> non d\u00e9nu\u00e9 de tendresse, empreint de confiance.
